Good boys and girls: George Smith from Eastridge Community Church donned a Santa outfit Sunday and visited the children at the Pine Valley Mission. Approximately 50 children received gifts from their wish lists. Eastridge and Harvest Baptist helped the mission supply the toys. The mission served their Christmas meal to the High Point community on Dec. 14. The mission’s focus is on the needs of underprivileged children. School supplies, clothing, shoes and coats are furnished the entire year. The mission is located at 12185 Ga. Highway 36 and has been in operation for 18 years and is facilitated solely by volunteers.
