West Newton County residents will have a new shopping venue this weekend with the opening of a Dollar General at 8 a.m. on Saturday at 3227 Salem Road.
The grand opening will feature prize giveaways and the first 50 customers will receive $10 gift cards. The first 200 will receive tote bags.
The store will employ six to 10 workers, according to a release.
