After the National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Newton County due to heavy rain, several roads were closed throughout Newton County.

Among those roads, repairs were needed in the Bentley Place Subdivision off Fairview Road.

According to the National Weather Service, radar estimates up to 3 inches of rain has already fallen, and 1-1 1/2 inches more is expected.

Due to the heavy amount of percipitation the following roads in Newton County have been closed:
