Rain, little snow expected for Christmas

It's going to be wet out for Christmas in Covington, but the National Weather Service has dropped its forecast for frozen precipitation to 40 percent Christmas Night.

The National Weather Service forecast issued at 3 p.m. today calls for a 60 percent chance of preciptiation for Christmas Day, with rain likely before 1 p.m., then rain and snow mix, with a high of 44. There's a chance of snow before 1 a..m. that night, with a low of 27.

Forecasters are calling for a high of 52 for Christmas Eve, with a mostly sunny sky, and an overnight low of 30. Expect a high of 41 and a low of 21 on Sunday.
