A mud-covered toddler in Spider-Man pajamas who was found late Wednesday wandering about Porterdale was returned to his parents two hours later after they discovered he was missing and called 911, Porterdale police said today.

The child, who is about age 3, was found about 11:09 p.m. at the intersection of Georgia Highway 81 and Crowell Road, according to Lt. James Pilgrim. His hands and feet were bare and he was covered in mud. Sgt. Jason Cripps, who was on duty, called DFCS workers.

About 1 a.m., the parents called 911 to report the child missing. Cripps and the DFCS worker returned the child to the home.

"Kids can be tricky sometimes," Pilgrim said.
