The Porterdale Police Department and Porterdale Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni will hold block parties throughout the village on Saturdays through July 23.

Parties will be held June 4 at the Hemlock Street Pocket Park; June 11 at the Elm Street Pocket Park; June 18 at Pine Street Pocket Park; June 25 at Rock of Salvation Church on Riverfront Road; July 9 on Wynfield Drive; July 16 at Mulberry and Laurel streets; and July 23 at BC Crowell Park.

Softball and other games and activities will be featured. Attendees are encouraged to bring softball/baseball equipment to donate to the children. The event honors Billy Carl (B.C.) Crowell, who was a supporter of Porterdale sports and recreation.
