Officers from the Covington Police Department are looking for a man who robbed the Turner Lake BP gas station at gunpoint late last night.

According to Captain Ken Malcom, officers arrived and spoke to the victim (the owner) who said he was confronted by a man in a ski mask as he left the gas station. The man forced the victim back inside the gas station and into the back office. He then took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register before fleeing on foot. During the robbery the man fired two shots into the floor.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a black wool ski mask, long sleeved black t-shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information is asked to contact the CPD at (770) 385-6430 or online at www.covingtonpolice.com. All tips can be given anonymously.
