Conyers police are asking for the public's help finding a hit-and-run driver who left a man seriously injured on Interstate 20 early Sunday, July 6.
Just before 4 a.m., a Conyers Police officer on patrol discovered what appeared to be an abandoned vehicle at the bottom of the I-20 entrance ramp from Salem Road.
The officer then discovered a seriously injured man on top of the interstate wall approximately 30 feet in front of the disabled vehicle. Life Flight was called to transport the victim, a 21-year-old Covington man, to the hospital. The victim reportedly remains hospitalized as of Wednesday.
Pieces of the suspect vehicle located at the scene appear to come from a pearl white in color passenger car or small SUV which will have damage to the front passenger side.
Investigators believe the suspect vehicle to be an off-white 2000-2005 year model Cadillac Deville.
Numbers stamped on the inside of the side view mirror read "REV 2A1" "PPC/PA" and "710508".
