Order elects officers

The Madison chapter #355, Order of the Eastern Star has moved to Golden Fleece Lodge #6 on the Covington square. The chapter’s new meeting nights are the first and third Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments or a meal will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. before the meetings.

The newly elected and installed officers for the 2009-2010 year are: Phyllis Bolton, worthy matron, Jerry Bolton, worthy patron, Amanda Thompson, associate matron, Howard Thompson, associate patron, Ann Ward, treasurer, Dale Thompson, secretary, Linda Turk, organist, Jim Goodman, chaplain, Maggie Vest, marshal, Othelle Blair, conductress, Mary Sauls, associate conductress, BettyJean Hensler, electa, Debi Goodman, Ruth, Carl Stewart, warder and Richard Turk, sentinel.

On May 21 the chapter added three new members to its ranks. They are Jayme Bauer and Keith and Kathy Studdard.

June 4 the chapter will have initiatory work for another new member.
