Celebrating MLK’s legacy: Oxford College student Joane Pascal gave a dramatic interpretation of song at the 2010 MLK Celebration at Old Church in Oxford. Following the invocation for the 2010 MLK Celebration, everyone in attendance sang Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing. The Rev. Sam Clowney spoke of education through the eyes of Martin Luther King, Jr. and encouraged the students in attendance to use their education to think insightfully about the issues of today. The Oxford College A Cappella group, Oxappella, performed multiple songs.
