Meet the officers: The Pilot Club of Covington held its 2010-2011 Officer Installation Ceremony June 17 at First Presbyterian Church of Covington. Officers are President — Ann Brooks; President-Elect — Mary Barnes; Vice President — Theresa Shields; Treasurer — Ann Phillips; Recording Secretary — Terry Ziemer; Corresponding Secretary; Directors — Cynthia Spearman, Sharon Leduc, Eleanor Scarborough. Pilot International is a global organization of executive, business and professional leaders working together to improve the quality of life in local communities and throughout the world. The Pilot Club of Covington, founded in 1958, has many projects to help the citizens of Covington and Newton County. They include holding a dinner and entertainment program for the residents of the Covington High Rise, donating sodas and prizes for Bingo at Covington Manor Nursing Home, being a Partner in Education with Palmer Stone Elementary School and sponsoring an artist in the Georgia Artists with DisAbilities.
