Pete Mecca, author of A Veteran’s Story feature in The Covington News, will be sharing one of his tales with Georgia Magazine.

His brief history on the American Legion will be featured in the publication’s July issue.

The American Legion continues to offer services to communities, especially young people. A sizable portion of Mecca’s story is dedicated to the Legion Riders — arguably the least recognized patriotic group in America.


Several local veterans from Newton County and Rockdale County will be featured.
