The identity of the man found murdered in his mobile home has been released today by the Newton County Sheriff's Office.

Manuel Castillo, a 41-year-old Latino male, was the victim of a stabbing death late Tuesday.

Castillo lived with two other people in a mobile home at 5110 GA Hwy 20 S on lot 14.

According to Lt. Keith Crum, the two people who lived with him were contacted by police and are cooperating in the interviewing process

Through the two roommates, another person of interest has been identified and is currently being sought out for interview.

"The investigation is continuing," Crum said. "We still have investigation units assigned and working in the field now."

Castillo had called 911 for help after being stabbed late Tuesday, deputies said. When deputies arrived at Pine Ridge Mobile Home Park, they found him lying on the floor of the residence. Deputies forced their way in, but the man was already dead, deputies said.
