The Town of Newborn will host its annual tree lighting at 6 p.m., Friday at town hall.

Both an artificial and live tree will be decorated this year, and, following the lighting, Santa will be at the Old Newborn Schoolhouse along with cocoa and cookies, courtesy of the Newborn Area Heritage Trust.

Craft and other booths will also be set up, said Town Clerk Lisa Rowe.
