The Newton County Sheriff’s Office will host its first job fair from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, May 26 and 27 at the law enforcement facility at 15151 Alcovy Road in Covington.

The event will center on Police Office related positions, such as the position of detention officer and deputy sheriff. Recruiting personnel will be in attendance, and will provide screening and interviews on-site. Business attire is recommended for those seeking interviews.

Download and print the Sheriff’s Office application, fill it out in its entirety and bring it to the job fair. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. In case notarization is needed on any documents, a notary will be on site for both days.

Although it is not a requirement, bilingual applicants are preferred.
