NCSO seeking public help in murder investigation

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) and Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta are seeking the public’s help in reference to a recent murder, according to a press release by the NCSO.

Around 8 p.m. on Monday, the NCSO was dispatched to 403 Grosslake Parkway in the Enclave Apartment Complex of Covington in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, deputies found the body of a male lying face down in the parking area, who was later identified as Julien R. Wyant, 24, of Conyers, as reported in the press release.

The NCSO has begun an aggressive investigation and asks that anyone with information regarding the death of Wyant to contact Crime Stoppers tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online www.crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637).

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment. Tips can be anonymous.
