NCSO seeking help in Publix theft

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in identifying two females who may have information about a theft that occurred at the Publix on Brown Bridge Road on Aug. 8.

According to NCSO Sgt. Cortney Morrison the complainant left her purse in the express checkout line and when she went back, it was gone. The purse reportedly contained personal documents as well as an undisclosed amount of cash.

The incident happened between 11 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. at 13015 Brown Bridge Road, Covington.
