WINDER - The NAACP is calling for an investigation of complaints about the use of excessive force by law enforcement officers in Barrow County. Edward Dubose, president of the Georgia NAACP, says his group is not alleging widespread abuse, but is concerned that problem officers are not being weeded out. The county and state chapters of the NAACP last week called for the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate five cases in the county.
