Travelers should avoid I-20 this weekend if possible, as roadwork continues, weather permitting.

On I-20 in Rockdale and Newton counties, two westbound, outside right lanes on the three-mile section between Covington and Conyers will be continuously closed from 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday for resurfacing.

Additionally, the I-20 westbound exit and entrance ramps to Almon Road will be closed all weekend. The Georgia DOT warns travelers to expect long delays.
