With the resurgence of river activities in Porterdale, the mill village has become a gathering place for many events.
Here’s a look at some upcoming events in Porterdale:
July 4th Celebration 6pm-Food, Fun, and Fireworks, free music in the gym, fireworks start at dark.
Save the Date: October 3-Yellow River Jam, noon-? Boats, Bands, and Brews. Bring your boats, and enjoy music on the Yellow River, check our Facebook page for more details.
Rhythm Elements Dance Studio is serving free breakfast at 8:30-9:30, and free lunch at 12:30-1:30 to children under 18 on Saturdays, now through July 31st.
Wrestling, 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month, 6-8pm in the wrestling arena on Broad Street.
While waiting for these events to occur, don’t forget about the several organizations of our city.

The Porterdale Library
Located in the railroad depot behind The Yak Club. The main library is now open on Saturdays from 10 AM-2PM. You can visit our satellite libraries in parks around town, any day of the week, and we also have a collection of kid’s books at Dirty Dogs.
Community Ladies Bible Study at Porterdale Baptist Church every Tuesday, 10am-11am Come to the Palmetto Street entrance.
TOPS - Take Off Pounds Sensibly - a weight loss support group supporting healthy lifestyles meets at Porterdale Baptist Church on Thursday at 5:15-6:30pm. Hope to see you there!
