Demario Jackson, age 25, was killed Friday evening after he was struck by a vehicle while lying on the fog line of the Bypass Road behind Burger King.

According to reports, a call came in to troopers from the Georgia State Patrol at 7:18 p.m. When law enforcement officials arrived, Jackson was deceased; it is unknown at this time if he was dead before he was struck by the car or not.

The driver reportedly said that she thought she had struck an animal but turned around and went back to check which is when she found Jackson. According to GSP, no charges are pending against the driver.
