You can enjoy a little music with your sandwich Thursday as the Arts Association in Newton County kicks off its September Noon Concerts on the Square series.

Every September Thursday at noon, a free concert will be staged on the square, and this year’s lineup will appeal to a variety of musical tastes.

Here’s the schedule:

Premier Brass

Sept. 12

Lou Van Dora with ‘70s and ‘80s soft rock

Sept. 19

Johnny Roquemore & the Apostles of Bluegrass

Sept. 26

Daniel Jackson Band (smooth jazz)

In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held at the Turner Lake Recreation Complex.
