Brandon Tisdale, formerly of Covington, recently completed the Special Agent Candidate Course at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth.
The Special Agent course provided performance-centered instruction in criminal investigation techniques and procedures that are typically applied on the job by GBI Special Agents.
Tisdale, the son of Georgia State Patrol Sergeant First Class Harold Tisdale of Covington and Brenda Kay Tisdale of Valdosta, is a 2008 graduate of Alcovy High School. In May he received a degree in Criminal Justice from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University.
He has been assigned to the GBI's Regional Office in Conyers and will be detached to the Social Security Fraud Unit.
Tisdale was one of 45 men and women who received diplomas and GBI Special Agent Credentials at graduation ceremonies held in November at the Training Center. Governor Nathan Deal was the keynote speaker at the graduation.
