Local color guard at Braves game

Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Petty Officer Kurtis Glenn (foreground) participated in presenting the colors at the Atlanta Braves game on Memorial Day at Turner Field.

Glenn is shown in morning colors on May 27 at the Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., according to a release.

Glenn's most recent deployment was with the Navy hospital ship USNS Mercy, participating in a Pacific Partnership humanitarian mission for six months around Southeast Asia. He assisted with the pre-packing of more than 121,000 medications to deliver to patients in Third World countries. During the deployment, he provided medical assistance to people in The Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Papa New Guinea and Micronesia. Also during the deployment, the ship visited Singapore, Guam and Australia.
