Newton County schools have announced that Linda Hayden, associate superintendent for curriculum, instruction and assessment, will retire, effective June 30.

Dr. Hayden has served more than 30 years in public education, four years with Newton County, according to a statement from Newton School Superintendent Gary Mathews.
