Reconstruction on the Interstate-20 bridge at Exit 90 continues this weekend, causing possible congestion from 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday.

Olympus Painting Contractors will continue bridge joint repair and replacement on the I-20 bridges over the railroad and Old Atlanta Highway. Crews will work on the eastbound side bridges, which requires inside and middle lane closures. There are no ramp closures planned.

The area affected ranges from mile 89 to mile 90.5 eastbound. 

The upcoming work will require a detour for Old Atlanta Highway traffic. Citizens can use Cook Road, Moore Street and State Route 81 for the detour. Look out for message boards and barricades warning of the temporary detour and also the I-20 lane closures this weekend.
