COVINGTON, Ga. - Newton County School System (NCSS) officials have announced the decision to cancel school tomorrow for students and staff, Wednesday, Sept. 13 due to continued power outages and road closures. 

"While some areas of the county are fine others have been tremendously impacted by Hurricane Irma," according to a NCSS statement. "As a result it was determined the best course of action was to close school."
