The Humane Society of Morgan County (HSMC) is excited to host its first "Paw Wash and Pet Fest" event on Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Heritage Park in Madison. All pet owners and their animal companions are invited to enjoy a fun time with animal washing stations and numerous vendors on site. This is a family-oriented event and children are encouraged to attend.

Heritage Park, located at 1000 Heritage Park Circle (the cross section of Madison Bypass and Old Buckhead Road), will be transformed to an animal spa for the day. For $10, there will be two washing stations where dogs will be fully pampered, receiving a good clean wash and will then be toweled dry. Other services include having your pet's nails clipped for an additional donation.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the HSMC, to fund the non-profit organization's mission to save more animal lives by promoting adoptions of healthy, friendly companion pets.

"For all animal lovers this will be a great event to enjoy the outdoors, great vendors and clean pets," said Betty Straw Brown, HSMC President. "We invite the entire community to join us and spoil their pets with love, affection and soapy suds!"
