The top five finalists in the Covington Lions Club Covington Idol competition were announced Saturday afternoon during the annual Sherman’s Last Burning barbeque cook-off. Fourth place went to Ronnie McCart of Covington, third place was Stephen Cochran of Covington, second place went to Bill Callas aka “The Silver Fox Crooner” of Conyers, the first runner up was Drew Parker of Covington and the winner of the inaugural singing competition was Jason Carver of Social Circle.
