All Newton County schools will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday break from Monday, Nov. 25 through Friday, Nov. 29. The Newton County Board of Education building will be open Monday through Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The school board offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Students will report back to school on Monday, Dec. 2.

Newton County and Covington’s government offices will be closed Thanksgiving Day and the day after.
