The search for Brandon Hambrick is over. The 18-year-old who was wanted in connection of the murder of 44-year-old Alvin Hall, whose charred remains were found in a burning car on McGiboney Lane New Year's Eve, was located and charged with murder.

Hall was last seen alive earlier that evening in the area of Empire Park in Atlanta. He was a employee of the city of Atlanta and had a family. He had not yet been reported missing.

There had been speculation early in the case that Hall's murder may have been connected with two others that occurred around the same time where bodies were found in vehicles, but that has since been ruled out.

Also arrested in this case is 27-year-old Candice Pope. Neither the victim nor the accused lived in Newton County, but the county has jurisdiction over the case at this point since Hall's body was located here.
