Fast moving storms moved through Covington and Newton County Friday afternoon downing trees in a few areas, including on Clark Street near the Clark's Grove neighborhood.

The Covington-Newton 911 Center reported downed trees blocking Rocky Point Road at Robin Hood Road around 5:30 p.m.
