Free military panel to be held in Oxford

Oxford’s second annual military panel will take place at 5:30 p.m. April 17, at Oxford College Chapel. The free event will feature a special panel with men and women who have served in the United States Military.

Special guests include:

Ambassador Theodore Britton, who served as Ambassador to Antigua, Dominica, St. Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and as a diplomat to the Middle East Peace Initiative to Israel and Palestine.

Captain Tommy Clack, a Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient.

Janet McIntosh, the Program Manager of Blue Star Families and retired U.S. Army.

Sgt. E-5 Pete Mecca, a journalist, whose series “A Veteran’s Story” appears weekly in The Covington News.

Mayor Roger Sheridan, the oldest active Mayor in the United States, who served in World War II.
