Fox Winery grows native Ga. grapes

Today on my travels, I stop to visit Brian Kuhn of The Fox Winery. I was excited with the anticipation of a little free wine tasting and a chance to pick up a local bottle of wine for dinner.

The Fox Winery, at 225 Ga. Highway 11 South in Social Circle, specializes in growing the native Georgia grapes such as Muscadines and Scuppernongs.

With more than 15 acres to grow these juicy Southern grapes, they are able to create wines which are truly made of the South.

On my visit here, I enjoyed some of the best wine I’ve ever tasted and highly recommend you take the short drive to see and taste this treasure located right in your backyard.

Plus, if the timing of your visit is right, you may have the opportunity to observe one of the interesting phases of their wine-making process such as harvesting or bottling.

Drop by and visit them today to enjoy a bottle for tonight’s dinner.
