Four arrested in Monroe armed robbery

MONROE - Four men were arrested last week following an incident Monday morning near a Home Depot in Monroe, including the victim, according to The Walton Tribune.

The alleged victim, Matthew Holmes, 29, was arrested for shooting at robbers, The Tribune reports.

Holmes was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, discharging a weapon inside city limits, three counts of aggravated assault, obstruction, reckless conduct and theft by receiving stolen property because the gun he used in the incident was allegedly reported stolen.

Arrested were Nicholas Garner, 24, who was charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of drug-related objects, possession of Schedule IV narcotic (Xanax), two counts of possession of Schedule II?narcotic (hydrocodone and methadone) and for an outstanding warrant out of Gordon County.

Christopher Garner, 39, Loganville, was charged with possession of drug-related objects, possession of Schedule IV narcotic (Xanax), two counts of possession of Schedule II?narcotic (hydrocodone and methadone) and for an outstanding warrant out of Rockdale County.

David Autry, 28, Loganville, was charged with possesion of drug- related objects, obstruction of law enforcement official, possession of Schedule IV narcotic (Xanax), two counts of possession of Schedule II?narcotic (hydrocodone and methadone) and for an outstanding warrant out of Jackson County.
