Residents looking for more information about the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, are invited to a free forum on Monday, Oct. 21, 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Rockdale Career Academy, 1064 Culpepper Drive, Conyers.

"Your Healthcare, Your Choice" focuses on the impact of the act, also known as Obamacare, on consumers and the process by which consumers can now apply for health coverage. 

Invited forum participants include UGA Consumer and Family Services, Enroll America, AFL-CIO, Oakhurst Medical Center and AARP. Attendees can have their questions answered by experts, find out about options available as a result of the act, and learn to navigate the marketplace website. 

The event is hosted by the Rockdale/Newton County Chapter of the Georgia Federation of Democratic Women, Rockdale County Democratic Party, Newton County Democratic Party, Newton County NAACP, Young Democrats of Rockdale, Rockdale County NAACP, and the Rockdale legislative delegation.
