MARIETTA, - Cobb County Police say a motorcyclist was killed after he fled police at speeds up to 130 mph.

Cobb County Police Sgt. Dana Pierce said an officer attempted to stop the motorcycle early today because he suspected the biker of driving under the influence.

Pierce says the motorcyclist fled onto Interstate 75, driving southbound at speeds up to 130 mph. He says officers followed at a distance.

Pierce says the bike wrecked at the exit ramp to Windy Hill Road, and the man's body was found about 100 yards away. He says the motorcycle continued for another 200 yards up the ramp.
