The Newton County Fire Services (NCFS) will host a Cajun Fried Turkey fundraiser to benefit the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.

Interested individuals can purchase a certificate for a fully cooked, 10-12 pound Cajun fried turkey. The turkeys will be ready-to-eat, making a Thanksgiving meal available without the work.

Certificates can be purchased at any Newton County Fire Station location around the county or NCFS fire administration building, 4136 A Hwy 278 (Between Pizza Hut and McDonalds), Covington, GA 30014. Cost of the certificate is $45 with all proceeds benefiting needy children for the Christmas holiday.

Fire department personnel, led by Battalion Chief Joe Cagle, will be cooking these turkeys on Nov. 23, at NCFS Fire Station No. 1 located at 11545 Covington Bypass Road, Covington, GA 30014. Certificates will be available for purchase until Nov. 21. All purchases require pre-payment and no purchases will be available the day of the event.
