The Porterdale Volunteer Fire Department will host its first Spring Fling, Saturday, April 20. The Spring Fling will begin at 9 a.m. and will end at 6 p.m.

Vendors who are expected to be present during the event include: Tupperware, Mary Kay, Origami Owl, Advo Care, Thirty-One, Burnie’s BBQ, Perk Up & Wine Down Café, Paw-Paws Fishing Lures, and a number of others. Booths are still available for additional vendors in 10’x10’ increments at a cost of $20.

In addition, the Porterdale Volunteer Fire Department is asking for donations from vendors for the department to raffle off. Donation items include gift cards, apparel and any items the vendor is selling.

Booth payments and donations must be submitted by April 13. An email should be sent to pvfdrescue11@yahoo.com, detailing what will be sold at the booth. Advertisements are available for companies that aren’t able to make it, with a $15 donation.

All proceeds for the event go toward supporting the maintenance of the Porterdale Fire Department building.

Maintenance and repairs for this building are not covered by the city of Porterdale or the Newton County Fire Service, and therefore must be paid out of pocket.

Through the help of the community, the Porterdale Fire Department will be able to keep the building functioning and looking presentable. For more information, contact Katie Savage at 678-994-2323.
