COVINGTON, Ga. – U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson visited Newton County Thursday afternoon to bring books to Flint Hill Elementary School. The congressman presented surplus books from the Library of Congress to the school’s media center along with an American flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol. Johnson also spoke to students about the importance of reading, studying and treating each other with respect.
