Deputies from the Newton County Sheriffs Department were called to a home on Russel Braden Road in reference to a family fight but, when they arrived, found a man staring into the trees.When they approached the man, identified as Matthew Bringle, they could reportedly smell alcohol coming from him, and when deputies asked him what he was doing outside staring at trees at 3:30 a.m. he allegedly said "I’m talking to the squirrels."Deputies spoke with another person at the home who allegedly reported that Bringle had gotten drunk and started turning over porch furniture.
