DECATUR - A DeKalb County police officer shot a man about 3 p.m. today outside a home in the county's Kings Park subdivision.

According to WGCL-TV, police responded to reports of a burglary in progress at a home, and saw several suspects leaving the house.

Police said one of the suspects made a threatening move, and the officer shot him. Authorities said the suspect was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive.

Police took several suspects into custody.
