Kids "R" Great Daycare and Preschool is celebrating its 20th anniversary .

In that 20 years, the center has grown from an original class of 15 children to a current average of 130 children.

Located on Dixie Road, directly across from East Newton Elementary School, Kids "R" Great is a Partner in Education with the elementary school as well as with Mansfield Elementary.

The center’s director, Dorina Frasier, has been with Kids "R" Great for 19 years. Some of its current students are the second generation in their families to attend. And some current parents were among the center’s first enrolled students as children.

A major selling point for the day care and preschool is that they were founded on Christian principles, Frasier said. Practices in place include asking blessings before each meal, learning a Bible story each week and singing songs of praise and participating in fun activities each day, she said.

This year, to mark the anniversary, a free T-shirt will be given to all students enrolled at the day care and preschool.

"We’re very proud to have been a part of the community for so long providing quality child care to the area," said Frasier.
