Covington Police (CPD) responded to a report of illegal dumping at the Magnolia Heights Apartments Jan. 30.

According to the police report, an employee of the apartment complex observed a male driving a Dodge Caravan leave garbage outside the complex’s trash compactor. The employee took a picture of the vehicle which showed the tag number and gave it to police.

After checking the tag, police were able to identify the driver, who was issued a citation for the offense.
