Creative and Colorful Kids

Many rising first through sixth-graders from all over Newton County packed up their musical, dramatic and artistic talents and traveled to Oxford College this week for the 12th annual Creative Kids Camp, held by the Arts Association in Newton County.

The week was a busy one with children running all over the Oxford College campus to learn "Puttin’ on the Ritz," how to paper-mache a recycled bottle into a flower vase and dramatic interpretation of the best summer vacation ever, among many other activities.

The overflowing creativity culminated with a spectacular performance for family and friends Friday afternoon before the children said goodbye to their camp counselors and new buddies until next summer.
