The Covington Police Department will be offering an Assault Awareness Seminar on May 16 at the Covington Police Department located at 1143 Oak Street, SE. The objective of this important personal safety training is to help provide citizens with techniques and safety strategies to prevent, minimize, or survive an assault. A portion of the class will be hands-on defensive tactics training where the student will have the opportunity to work with a defensive tactics instructor. Other topics to be discussed include; observation skills, negotiation skills and victim reporting skills.
