Deputies are still search for the men who reportedly robbed a couple at gunpoint in the cul-de-sac off Paladin Drive Feb. 22.

According to reports, a deputy from the Newton County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling the area of Georgia Highway 81 south around 11:47 p.m. when he noticed a vehicle in the parking lot of the BP gas station at 81 and Oak Hill Road. When the deputy pulled into the parking lot a man reportedly ran toward his patrol car and told the deputy that he and his girlfriend had been robbed at gunpoint.

The deputy followed the man to where the robbery had occurred and the victims reportedly told him that they were sitting in their vehicle talking when three black males approached them and started banging on the windows and roof of their vehicle with guns.

The male victim said that his white iPhone and the female’s red LG Shine cell phones were taken as well as $300 cash, a GPS system and a 10-inch speaker and box from the trunk of the vehicle. The three then allegedly ran toward the wood line backing up to Livingston Elementary School. The victims drove to the gas station to call for help because their cell phones were taken.
