Celebrate Our Home showcases more than 30 features of Newton County using 5x6 foot banners.

The banner presentation is schedule to be hosted by one school in each of the five Board of Education and Board of Commissioners districts.

Yesterday, Celebrate Our Home was held at Flint Hill Elementary from 4 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

The banners showcase Newton County government, services and resources, municipalities, parks and recreation, education and youth activities, history, economic engines, arts, culture, faith and the 2050 plan.

Each government entity is represented by a banner and a present staff member. Local businesses showcase their products and services as well. Each event is hosted by more than 20 volunteers.

The next banner presentations will be coming to Liberty Middle School on April 21 and Live Oak Elementary School on May 5.
