COVINGTON, Ga. — The end of 2017 and beginning of 2018 will see cold weather for Newton County.
Highs are expected to be only in the 30s for the early part of next week, the National Weather Service in Peachtree City said Friday. That includes a forecast high of 38 on New Year’s Day with the low Monday night dipping to 20.
This weekend will feature sunny conditions and high temperatures in the low 50s. Lows will be in the low 30s.
A shift to even colder weather will come Sunday with highs in the mid-40s and lows dipping into the mid-20s.
By Monday, highs will only reach the 30s. That trend should continue well into next week.
