-The Newton Medical Center’s millage rate did not increase by 1.2 mills under the county budget adopted Thursday night. Rather, it was and remains 1.2 mills. A hospital request for an additional .3 mills was not included in the new budget. A story in Friday’s paper contained incorrect information.
